Boston is about to level up. From October 3–5, 2025, the Boch Center Shubert Theatre will host Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty-Sided Tavern, an award-winning immersive theater experience that transforms the world’s greatest role-playing game into a live interactive adventure.

Adding to the excitement, local favorite Jack Lepiarz — better known as Jacques Ze Whipper from his viral whip-cracking performances — will step into the role of Mischief for the Boston run. Lepiarz, a celebrated circus performer and social media star with more than three million followers, will appear in the evening performances only.
An Immersive D&D Experience
Unlike a traditional play, The Twenty-Sided Tavern puts the audience in control. Using Gamiotics, a browser-based software, theatergoers vote on where the story goes, which characters appear, and what challenges unfold. With over 30 playable characters, puzzles, combat, trivia, and even fantasy beer pong, no two shows are ever the same.
The production has earned praise in New York City for blending comedy, high-stakes adventure, and audience choice. Now, Boston fans get their chance to step inside the Forgotten Realms and join the story firsthand.
