Faccia Brutta Newbury Street

The new Italian restaurant Faccia Brutta, which is part of JK Food Group, is set to open on Newbury Street by the end of May!

The newest hot spot in town will be open this month! Faccia Brutta, which means ugly face in Italian, is the newest addition to JK Food Group (also Toro and Little Donkey) by chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette. This coastal Italian-inspired restaurant and bar in the heart of Newbury, one of the best areas in Boston, has been in the works for quite a while now according to Chef Oringer.

The restaurant will feature a seafood-filled menu and fresh ingredients will be used from the Copley Square Farmer’s Market. They will be open for both lunch and dinner and have a patio that can fit up to 40 people, perfect for the summer!

β€œIt is a little bit different. It will be coastal rather than the Roman style and the wood-fired oven cooking that we have at Coppa. There will be our handmade pastas, but they will be with rock fish, squid ink, and tomatoes from Mount Etna. … There will be a little bit of meat. We’ll also have a separate gluten-free pasta kitchen.” Chef Oringer mentioned.

There will also be a bar named Bar Pallino which will have its own doorway and it will have tons of natural wines and mezcal while being connected to Faccia Brutta by an interior entrance. The owners want it to resemble a chill speakeasy vibe in the heart of Boston.
