Free Bluebikes Rides to COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments

To boost access and promote awareness, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is sponsoring complimentary Bluebikes rides to and from COVID-19 vaccine sites for residents of Metro Boston and surrounding areas.

Residents are qualified for two free Bluebikes Adventure Pass rides, available in the following cities: Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Newton, Revere, Somerville, and Watertown. 

Free bike valets will be available at Bluebikes stations near two mass vaccination sites, the Hynes Convention Center (Newbury St. and Hereford St.) and the Reggie Lewis Center (Roxbury Crossing) courtesy of Blue Cross and Lyft. Expanded docking and bike availability are being offered for easier accessibility during busier times.

To access your free ride, just download the Bluebikes app, tap Adventure Pass, and use the vaccination code ‘BLUEVAX1’ for your first appointment. For your second appointment, use the code ‘BLUEVAX2’.
